Who of thought a good restaurant would be inside a Crowne Hotel. But my friend, the coupon queen, had $50 off &100 bill. So we ordered a shrimp cocktail that was 4 huge prawns. The were cooked to perfection.
Then its be a while since I ordered a steak. She ordered a New York Strip. I had a skirt steak. Both came out as ordered ... Medium rare. Both came with veggies not over cooked and not raw. Dinner was excellent. And we shared a bottle of Italian Pinot Noir.
Not bad. I'd certainly go again. Our waiter, Anthony, we excellent. -

Would have given 3 stars because service was a bit flat and they didn't have full menu but am giving 4 stars because the restaurant was immaculate and Tina was amazing. The menu was very limited, not the same as is on the website, which was very disappointing. We drove a long way and were built up for Pan Seared Red Snapper, Prime Rib, Lobster Ravioli and ended up with Club sandwich, Chick Orzo and a Quesadilla. The server was not rude and it may have been a societal thing but there was zero warmth and friendliness. We were the only table in the restaurant so perhaps we were keeping him there. Who knows.
It looks like a fun atmosphere so we would go back when they have full menu. And if we get the same server, we will be glad because hopefully if he gets to know us he will be happy to see us, too. -

Stayed here for a week for work training. Nice hotel with good amenities, pool and gym on site.
Had dinner at their Chives restaurant for the week. Tried a variety of items, here's my recommendations and comments:
- Chicken Fajitas Appetizer: not bad, but platter and pretty good.
- Rib Eye Steak: not worth it. Presentation is great, but steak is dry and tough. Definitely not melt in your mouth quality. I wouldn't recommend it.
- Gulf Shrimp: not bad, probably the better choice out of the other menu items I've tried. Shrimp is big, wasn't a fan of the crab stuffing though!
- Lobster Risotto: was looking forward to this dish, but sadly disappointed. Risotto was too cheesy which ruined the entire flavor of the dish. Lobster was not enough and quality wasn't that great.
Overall, I'd recommend checking out Jose Tejas across the street. Cheaper and better quality food! -

Very very good but more on the expensive side of course. The Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta and a Ceaser Salad is AMAZING

Came here because we had a 25$ gift card. Pleasantly surpassed. Ahi tuna appetizer was good..7 onion soup and corn and crab chowder were excellent. I had the cowboy steak with Demi glaze and my husband the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. Both delicious. Dessert: crème brûlée:yum! Presentation was perfect each time. Would definitely come back!
